HDTV, awesome.
All cables simplified into HDMI, cool.
Internet on TV, great.
72 inches of wall-mountable goodness, hells yes.
3D TV? Not so sure about this one.
Yeah, I understand that watching a movie and having someone's fist look like it's literally coming at your face is pretty cool, but where will the 3D trend end? Will all prime-time TV shows start being broadcast in three dimensions? Are we going to have to wear funny-looking Star Trek-ish glasses just to watch (and fully enjoy) an episode of The Office?
I'm really hoping that this is one trend that does not catch on with television. Firstly because 3D capable TVs are going to be more expensive, and for a technology that may not get used that often, and second, who really wants to go out and buy - or wear - those goofy glasses whenever they want to watch TV??
